Hair Removal
How does Hair Removal Work?

The Profile laser contains an infrared laser that can selectively target microstructures such as hair follicles.  It is very effective for lighter skin types and, because of the relatively low absorption of this light by melanin, it is the best choice when treating darker skin types.  Additionally, the ability to safely treat sun-tanned skin makes this the treatment of choice for active individuals.

What should I expect after treatment?

Some redness and slight swelling may be present in the area that has been treated; however, this should subside within a few hours.  If any prolonged redness or swelling occurs consult your physician.  Keep the treated area clean, use at least SPF 15 suncreen when outdoors, and follow physician instructions.

Are there any Side Effects?

Temporary pigmentation changes are possible but seldom occur.  Always discuss your concerns with your physician prior to your treatment.

Micro Laser Peel
How does the Micro Laser Peel work?
The Micro Laser Peel is a unique laser treatment that was developed specifically for busy individuals who are seeking improvement to skin texture and tone. It is an intra-epidermal laser peel that precisely ablates the outermost layers of the skin. The procedure is individually tailored to the nature of the condition(s) to be corrected. Skin conditions such as wrinkles, scars, acne scars, keratoses or pigmentary problems have been successfully treated with a MicroLaserPeel.

What can you expect?

You will experience smoother, healthier, more vibrant skin with a significant, immediate change in skin texture and tightness. Healing takes 3 to 4 days. The treatment can be done on a Thursday or Friday so you can return to work the following Monday.

Symptoms immediately following the procedure resemble a sunburn, with minor sloughing on the 2nd day. Redness will begin to fade by the 3rd day and can be covered with make-up on the 4th day. Typically the procedure is repeated 2 to 4 times, spaced 6 to 8 weeks apart for maximum effect.

Veins & Redness
The Profile laser uses infrared energy for the treatment of many skin conditions. Profile allows your physician to precisely teat visible vessels, broken capillaries, spider veins, vascular lesions and discoloration of your skin.  Your treatment will be tailored to match your skin condition and desired results.

What conditions can be treated?

Rosacea     Telangiectasia     Redness   Spider Veins   Facial Veins

All skin areas can be treated.  Popular areas are the face, neck, chest and legs.

How does Vein Removal Work?

Any skin type, even tanned skin, can be treated. Most treatments last 15 minutes to one hour depending on vein amount. The veins are gently heated causing the walls of the veins to collapse and thus blood flow is stopped. There is minimal discomfort.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO RECOVER?

There is virtually no "down time" associated with vein removal. You may resume moderate activity immediately.  Your skin will have a pink or red color that will resolve over time.  You will need to avoid direct sunexposure or use a SPF 14 sun block when outdoors.
